PSYCHOLOGIST ROLE (NEUROAFFIRMING APPROACH)
Are you a passionate Psychologist wanting to support, educate, and empower young people and their communities to make a real difference in people’s lives? We have a unique opportunity to join an established practice that does things differently.
WHO WE ARE
Bloom Community® is a well-established business, now in its 15th year. Previously known as Bloom Child Psychology, and more recently Bloom Psychology Group, our transition to Bloom Community® reflects our progression and constant evolving growth, and is the culmination of years of experience and reflection on what works, and our model of care.
At Bloom Community®, we are grateful for the role we play in clients’ lives and take a collaborative approach in our work. We work alongside clients, providing education and support, with the goal of empowering clients and families to grow and achieve. We are all about connection and shared experience, working towards common goals.
We are a leading provider in the field with a strong focus on neurodiversity, providing assessment and intervention services for children, adolescents, and adults, and support to families. We have been supporting young people and families for many years, and we see many gaps in the system, many opportunities to do better, and areas where families are not as well supported as they could be. Therapy is so important, but we know that for many young people, it’s only one part of the picture. Taking therapy outside of the therapy room, we provide support to all levels of the client’s community.
We are a team of dedicated, authentic, and passionate psychologists and allied health professionals who do therapy differently. At Bloom Community®, you will be immersed into a team environment that supports your personal interests and growth and provides you an opportunity to work with clients in an authentic and holistic way that is individualised and unique. You will be a part of our community, and you will love what you do. Join us on our journey embarking on new frontiers and models of care.
WHO YOU ARE
You share our vision of doing more than simply providing evidence-based interventions, and know that as a profession, we can do so much more to support those we work with. You will value honesty, authenticity, kindness, and fun. You will want to make real change in people’s lives and provide holistic support to families in varied and flexible ways. You work within a neuroaffirming paradigm and have an understanding of neurodiversity.
Offering flexible working arrangements, with both employment and contracting models available, you will work alongside a team to provide a model of care that is beyond your typical psychology practice. You will work in a model of wrap-around care and community support, involving education and support at all levels of a person’s community, building capacity and creating empowered young people.
Bloom Community® offers career pathways to ensure that you can grow professionally, as well as a vast array of options in the way therapy and support is provided. We will support you to do the work that lights you up. We work across the lifespan, and with various players in the young person’s life.
Individual and peer supervision is available, full administrative support, and professional development plans to ensure that you continue to learn and develop in the areas that you find passion in.
LOCATION
Our clinic has been designed with clients and the team in mind, with an authentic, relaxed, and welcoming space.
